PAUL BERKOWITZ
Senior Vice President of Products
Paul is spearheading creative new initiatives, drawing upon his experience in the energy field since 1978. He oversees key program and product development areas and has been responsible for the strategic direction of CSG's residential programs in the Pacific Northwest with the goal of fostering innovative partnerships, superior program design and implementation, and overall exemplary customer service. Paul recently was the Project Director for the Energy Trust of Oregon New Homes and Existing Homes programs. He led a team that consistently met and exceeded savings goals for the Energy Trust across all facets of the existing homes program portfolio.
Joining CSG in 2004 after three years as Project Manager for D&R International, where he collaborated with the EPA and DOE, Paul played a prominent role in developing ENERGY STAR national promotions. He coordinated manufacturers, retailers, and public and private sector partners to forge strategic policy and program directions. Prior to that, he served as Director of Energy Efficiency Services for Wisconsin Energy Conservation Corporation. He consulted on program design and managed projects, and worked with utility clients to design and oversee residential direct installation, low-income weatherization, and efficiency programs.
Paul received his Bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin and completed coursework toward a Ph.D. in Energy Policy Analysis at the University of Wisconsin Institute for Environmental Studies. He holds a Master's degree in Solar Technology and Energy Policy Analysis from Arizona State University.
